On April 7, 2014, the Law & Economics Center will host a public policy conference on Energy and the Environment. The conference is entitled “New Technologies, Old Fuels, and Market Dynamics”, and is sponsored by the LEC Initiative for Energy and the Environment. The conference will address the dynamics of environmental issues and their impact on the energy market. Panels will examine clean coal technology, carbon sequestration, the future direction of the oil and gas industry, and the regulation of hydraulic fracturing. Leading experts in environmental law and energy sectors are scheduled to participate. In the keynote address, Frank Wolak, Professor of Economics and Director of the Program on Energy and Sustainable Development at Stanford University, will discuss “The Future of Fossil Fuels in the US”.
