This full-day, hands-on experiential workshop is designed especially for those new to digital rangefinder photography or prospective M camera owners wanting to "test drive" the highly sought-after LEICA M9, with a professional Leica Akademie instructor leading the session.
If you have never used a digital rangefinder camera, this is your chance to explore how to see the world in a different light through a Leica rangefinder. Through classroom discussion and looking at real world examples you will explore the differences and advantages of using a rangefinder vs. a DSLR. The workshop will include a comprehensive introduction to the M system and its entire range of exquisite Leica M lenses, a 2-hour field trial, and invaluable instruction on how to get the most out of the M9's image files. There will also be a very worthwhile section on basic Lightroom workflow for the Leica photographer.
Magnum photographer Eli Reed will be a special guest and featured photographer during this workshop.
Attendance is strictly limited to 15 participants, so be sure to sign up at your earliest opportunity.
