Curious about what it takes to make great pictures on the street? Would you like to explore these techniques yourself, while receiving valuable hands-on input and immediate feedback? If so, this is the program for you. Join Leica Akademie instructor Aziz Yazdani and Featured Photographer Richard Bram for three days of Street Photography on the streets of Washington D.C.. Combining classroom lecture with practical hand-on sessions this program will help you to develop your eye and sense of the moment as well as the quick photographic reflexes required to be a “Street Photographer.”
Since the introduction of the M3 in 1954, Leica's M-series cameras have been synonymous with classic street photography. This program distills the essence of this distinguished heritage, and will inspire both the novice and the experienced Leica M photographer. The three-day course offers significant opportunity to shoot on the street with your instructors, along with a number of classroom topics. You'll learn of the history, photographers and techniques that helped establish the tradition of street photography. You'll learn how to select the right equipment, master necessary focusing techniques, hone your street strategy, and even how to process your images to add subtle impact. The program will also include a rough edit and review of the pictures taken, and conclude on the final evening with an entertaining, thought-provoking discussion and critique of the images shot during the previous two days.
