Matthew Harvey

Matt is responsible for new investment origination, execution and portfolio company management for the mezzanine and structured equity funds managed by Prudential Capital Group. Our mandate is to invest flexible and patient junior capital (subordinated debt, preferred equity and common equity) in both middle-market corporate and sponsor-backed companies located in North America. These investments facilitate a broad range of transactions spanning traditional LBO's to management buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisition and growth financings.  




Michael B. Kessler
The Riverside Company


Mr. Michael B. Kessler joined Riverside in 2013 as a Partner and founding member of the Riverside Strategic Capital Fund (RSCF). The RSCF seeks to make non-control investments in companies with $5+ million of EBITDA for acquisition financing, liquidity events, growth initiatives, buyouts and recapitalizations.

Prior to joining Riverside, Mr. Kessler was a Managing Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS) and a member of the firm’s investment committee. At VSS, Mr. Kessler was responsible for the origination, underwriting, structuring and management of portfolio investments in the VSS Structured Capital and Equity Funds. Prior to joining VSS in 2003, he worked for 17 years as an investment banker at CIBC World Markets, Oppenheimer & Co. (acquired by CIBC in 1997), Barclays Capital and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Kessler holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Kessler is a member of RSCF’s Investment Committee, and a board member of Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. and Bentley Laboratories, LLC.



David Solomon
Lazard Middle Market


David Solomon is the CEO of Lazard Middle Market, and is an active dealmaker in the firm’s Consumer Retail group focusing on direct marketing, ecommerce, and multi-unit retailers. He assumed leadership of the firm in January 2007.

His representative transactions include: Kwik Tek on its sale to Falconhead Capital and M3 Outdoor Investments; National Pen on its sale to Cimpress (Vistaprint); Hand & Stone on its sale to Levine Leichtman Capital Partners; Silapda on its sale to Avon
Sundance on its sale to Brentwood Associates; Oriental Trading on its sale to Berkshire Hathaway; Performance Bicycle on its sale to North Castle; and, Sheplers on its sale to Boot Barn (NYSE:BOOT).

Prior to joining Lazard Middle Market in 1991, Mr. Solomon spent 13 years as a real estate professional, primarily developing retail shopping centers, and mixed-use projects. He brings this wealth of retail experience to bear in his M&A role today.

Mr. Solomon earned both a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree from Yale University, graduating magna cum laude. He received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, graduating in the Delta Gamma Sigma honors society.

Mr. Solomon is a current Board Member of American Rivers, the leading conservation organization working to protect and restore the nation’s rivers and water quality. His hobbies include fly fishing, back packing, squash, and is an avid runner.



Michael Teplitsky
Managing Director
Wynnchurch Capital


Michael Teplitsky joined Wynnchurch Capital in 2008. Michael has over 15-years of experience in private equity investing and corporate finance, as well as in investment origination and portfolio management. Michael focuses on the diversified industries sector including business services, manufacturing, transportation, distribution, and natural resources. Michael was involved in the execution of several Wynnchurch investments including NSC Minerals, Northstar Aerospace, Rosboro, Texas Hydraulics, and U.S. Pipe. Prior to joining Wynnchurch, Michael was with Lime Rock Partners, the $6 billion global private equity fund, where he was involved in the execution of numerous basic materials sector investments across North America and Europe. Michael began his career at UBS in its Investment Banking Department in New York, where he was involved in a number of mergers, acquisitions and financings across various industries. Michael holds a B.A. degree from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
