Over the past 40 years, modern treaties have defined Constitutionally-protected relationships between the Crown and Indigenous peoples, which affect nearly half of Canada’s lands, waters and resources.

The Land Claims Agreements Coalition's 8th national conference will focus on building awareness and relationships to support full implementation of modern treaties and laying the foundation for improved Crown-Indigenous interactions.

Featuring high-profile speakers, Indigenous leaders, intensive working group discussions, technical training sessions, an engaging youth program and cultural performances, this conference will help develop the collaborative relationships defined by modern treaties, and lay the path forward for full and meaningful implementation.
