The Denver Union Station Project Authority (DUSPA), Regional Transportation District (RTD) and Union Station Neighborhood Company (USNC) will conduct a walking tour of the Denver Union Station redevelopment site during the Making Progress Conference. The tour will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24. The one-hour tour will depart from the Conference hotel. Tour participants will ride the free 16th Street MallRide bus to the Station. The walking tour will include information on the storied history of Union Station from the late 1800s to the present day. You will learn about the early station buildings and famous travelers who visited Denver by train, hear about the new Union Station Neighborhood and its transformation of downtown, get an update on the expansion of RTD’s transit services coming to the area and witness construction of the largest transportation redevelopment project in North America first hand. Participation is limited to 25 people.
