LUC DE LA DURANTAYE, CFA - Managing Director and Leader, Asset Allocation - CIBC Asset Management
Mr. de la Durantaye is Managing Director and Leader of the Asset Allocation and Currency Management team at CIBC Asset Management. This team, composed of more than 20 portfolio managers, analysts and traders is responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation, currency management and absolute return strategies for the bank’s asset management arm. Mr. de la Durantaye is also an active member of CIBC Asset Management’s Investment Committee.
After beginning his career in Montreal in 1985 as a financial analyst at a sell-side brokerage firm, Mr. de la Durantaye quickly moved to the investment management division of a large Canadian financial institution, rising to Managing Director of Asset Allocation responsible for tactical asset allocation and currency management. He joined CIBC Asset Management and assumed responsibility for the asset allocation and currency group in 2002.
