Peter Austin
Peter Austin is Vice President, Region Americas for the Commercial Finance business at Siemens Financial Services (SFS), managing and leading all commercial activity for both the industrial asset finance business and third-party vendor financing program. Peter’s international experience includes a broad range of senior management, financial advisory, marketing, and sales leadership positions throughout all phases of financial services. A member of the SFS Commercial Finance Region Americas Leadership Team, he plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of business strategy, with particular emphasis on the development of business opportunities to benefit the wider Siemens organization. With expertise in global industrial and vendor financing, Peter is responsible for managing a $600k regionally diversified portfolio across infrastructure and industrial finance assets, such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, automotive, food and beverage and standard equipment leasing.

Peter joined SFS in 2006 as general manager for the UK Vendor Finance business before moving to the US in 2012 in his present capacity. Prior to joining Siemens, he held general management positions within the United Automotive Group (Penske), working with the Audi franchise in the U.K. In 2011, Peter won the Siemens award for financial excellence for his leading role in winning the Carbon Trust business from the British government. Peter holds an MBA from City University (London).
