DTTAC prepares qualified Lifestyle Coaches to serve as Master Trainers Select in providing Lifestyle Coach training for the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) to prepare others within their organization or network for in-person delivery of the lifestyle change program. The Master Trainer Select program allows for greater sustainability within organizations and systems delivering the National DPP lifestyle change program. It is not intended to prepare independent or national trainers.

Eligibility: In order to be considered for the Master Trainer Select program, interested individuals must meet the following:
The organization will be asked to complete an Organizational Commitment Form verifying the individual's role within the organization and the organization's intent to train Lifestyle Coaches.
As part of the application process, applicants will be asked to answer several questions about their experience as a Lifestyle Coach and with facilitating the lifestyle change program. Please note that completion of the application does not guarantee acceptance to the program.

2. Qualified candidates will be contacted by DTTAC staff to schedule a telephone interview with the Master Trainer Select Director.
3. Accepted applicants will receive an invitation to register for the Master Trainer Select Training.
Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Applicants are interviewed and accepted into the program on a rolling basis. The Master Trainer Select Institute trainings are filled as applicants are accepted into the program. If the training you would like to attend reaches capacity prior to your application being reviewed, you will be notified and considered for the next training date.
DTTAC is planning to hold two Master Trainer Select Institute trainings in 2017. The trainings will be held in Atlanta at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.
March 1-2, 2017: Applications due by February 3, 2017.
June 21-22, 2017: Applications due by May 19, 2017.
October 2017 (Dates TBD): Applications due by September 15, 2017.
Only those candidates who are formally invited to become a Master Trainer Select will be able to participate in the training. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received confirmation that you have been selected for the program.
