Medical Rehabilitation Webinar:
CARF Accreditation- the Foundation of Quality for Avoiding Denials

Summary

CARF-accreditated programs are not exempt from the scrutiny of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and its external contractors. Yet, the vast majority of CARF-accredited programs do not fully understand the value of the accreditation process to also maintain compliance within their programs and avoid denials based on medical necessity, coverage guidelines, and/or technical issues. This webinar will bridge this gap and help to create an internalization of conformance to the CARF standards to also maintain strong compliance.

Webinar participants should be able to:

  • Understand how conformance to the CARF standards can also be used to their organization’s advantage in avoiding denials by CMS contractors.
  • Describe how to use components of their organization’s compliance program to the advantage of their inpatient rehabilitation program.
  • Modify their organization’s compliance program to conform to the CARF standards and be of value in maintaining compliance with CMS regulations.
  • Create performance measures that will meet the CARF standards and help to monitor compliance within the accredited program/program seeking accreditation.

CARF webinars offer:

  • Convenience - train in the comfort of your office, home, or another remote location.
  • Cost savings - train multiple employees for the price of one registration fee, with no additional travel or accommodation costs.
