This training is suitable for: Educators, mental health professionals, medical professionals, direct service workers, and anyone interested in adapting a mindfulness practice into their lives.


Description: 

Mindfulness in the workplace helps to increase productivity and resiliency; it builds effective communication and decision making skills, and reduces conflict.  This workshop is designed for those interested in mindfulness and how to develop a mindfulness practice at work. You will learn the history and neuroscience of mindfulness and how mindfulness can make you a more effective leader.  You will explore techniques to develop a mindfulness practice, as well as how to overcome challenges that can get in the way.

 

This is an interactive workshop where you will practice in small groups and on our own.  You will leave with tools, techniques and resources to help you to continue to build your mindfulness practice. 

 

You will learn to:

  • Describe the benefits of mindfulness
  • Use tools and techniques to create a mindfulness practice
  • Identify areas where you are getting struck
  • Respond rather than react to stressors at work.
