Borderline Personality Disorder: biological and psychological considerations, and how to get help.
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a common but poorly understood disorder. It is a severe mental illness characterized by an inability to regulate one's emotions, leading to behaviors such as self injury, substance abuse and unsafe sex. It carries about a 10% suicide rate. The evening's discussion will attempt to provide a clear understanding of different aspects of this disorder and hw to approach the condition clinically.
Parents,grandparents, teachers, child development professionals and others whocan help children grow will find these learning experiences that can promote children's well-being and improve thelives of families.
