Carol Streif's Mock Bargello wall hanging is made with one 'Jelly Roll'! Of course the binding and backing are additional fabric, but what a beautiful quilt. You don't need to use a jelly roll, you can put together 40 of your favorite fabrics. You can see a sample of it at the April 6 and 8 MQ meetings.
The class is from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday May 5th at Minnesota Quilters, Inc.
You can see the supply list here.
The workshop fee is $45 for MQ Members and $55 for nonmembers.
Bring your sewing supplies and a bag lunch and enjoy a day with Carol!

When I was 6 years old my big sister was sewing in 4-H and I knew that I could too. My mother left the house to do some chores and I grabbed a piece of fabric (feed sacks back then) and I cut and I sewed. Needless to say, the shorts that I was making were UNIQUE. During the years since then the sewing skills have improved but I am afraid the attitude still creates a few problems.
After making my own clothes for many years I decided that quilting would be a good next step so about 20 years ago I took my first class and have been hooked ever since. The satisfaction of making my own quilts has branched out into some contest quilting, a lot of teaching and trunk shows, multiple magazine projects, and doing some product, block and tool testing for various companies. I am enjoying the challenges and am enjoying working with all of the wonderful people who are in the fabric and quilting world. Life is good.
