This seminar bridges the gap between systems engineering and hardware design by introducing an automated tool flow using Simulink® modeling for simulation and C / HDL code generation targeting the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC. Learn how algorithm iterations can be evaluated in simulation, then quickly prototyped on hardware directly from Simulink and deployed into production using the Xilinx Vivado® Design Suite. An example of Field Oriented Control of a Brushless DC motor will be demonstrated on the Zynq®-7000 AP SoC / Analog Devices Intelligent Drives Kit, featuring Analog Devices high-precision signal chain and Linux framework reference design.
Pre-requisites: An understanding of Zynq®-7000 AP SoC architecture and embedded Linux principles are helpful but not required.
