MPI Potomac's December Educational Event: Tipping Sacred Cows: Overcoming Tradition and Inertia to Create Great Meetings

Summary

Meeting planners often follow the direction of their internal or volunteer leaders who want to keep their meetings "as is" to avoid rocking the boat during their tenure.  This session will challenge planners to steer their leaders to make decisions that drive changes your meeting so desperately needs.  Join the conversation, share your challenges and successes, inspire others to lead our leaders and create exceptional meetings.

Learning Objectives

  • Discover how even seemingly boring tools like budgets and spreadsheets can help you motivate others to embrace change.
  • Learn a process to help identify our leaders' true goals to combine with our expertise and knowledge to make great meetings.
  • Gain ideas from circle discussions on "tips and tricks" of others successes.
