An online lecture taught by Patrick Casement, MA, a faculty member of our Luminary Series, which explores the professor’s personal experiences as a social worker, psychotherapist, and psychoanalyst and focuses on what we make of theory, how we listen to our patients, and how we rediscover theory throughout our clinical practice.

1. Describe the fundamental values of a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
2. State three basic principles of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
3. Describe the role of humility in the psycho-therapeutic process.
