Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I submit payment for my registration?
Answer:

You can pay via credit card by following the directions in your confirmation email to view your online registration summary. There will be a “Submit Payment” button at the top of your registration page.

To pay via check, please make checks payable to Jobs for the Future and send to the address below. Please include your name and confirmation number (or a printout of your confirmation email) so we can process payment.

Be sure to include the registration documentation with your check or we will not be able to process payment. If you are paying more than one registration fee with one check, include all participant confirmation information.

Question: I need a W9 completed in order to process a check payment; how can I receive that?
Answer:

Please contact Grace Ausick at gausick@jff.org for a completed W9 form from Jobs for the Future.

Question: What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Answer:

A $75 cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations made prior to 5pm EST on Friday, November 7th. After that date, no refunds will be provide.

Question: I am no longer able to attend the conference; can my colleague use my registration?
Answer: Registration substitutions may be made at any time at no cost by emailing Grace Ausick at gausick@jff.org.

Question: Is the agenda available for the 2014 National Early College Conference?
Answer:

The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9th and conclude at 3:00 p.m. on December 10th. Please plan your travel accordingly so you are able to get the most out of the conference.

The full agenda will be available on the conference website. Check back for updates as we are frequently adding details and updating the site.

Question: Where will the conference be held, and what is the deadline to make hotel reservations?

You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations and travel arrangements. Be sure to book your room by Friday, November 14th to ensure availability. Please note that a special room rate of $149/night + tax has been made available at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. To take advantage of this special rate, call the central reservations office directly at (888) 627-8191 and reference the National Early College Conference or click here to be directed to our reservation site. The hotel block is limited so please make your reservations as soon as possible.

Question: Will there be a school visit as part of the 2014 National Early College Conference?
Answer: No, we are not holding a formal school visit as part of the conference. However, there are many great Early College High Schools in Dallas, TX, and if you are interested in setting up a visit on your own please contact Alma Garcia at agarcia@cftexas.org for recommendations. 

Question: What meals will be served as part of the conference?
Answer: The National Early College Conference will provide breakfast and lunch on December 9th and 10th, as well as a reception on Tuesday the 9th.


Question: Is it possible to be an exhibitor at the 2014 National Early College Conference?
Answer:

The National Early College Conference does not have a space for exhibitors, but we encourage your organization to consider becoming a sponsor. Sponsors will be prominently recognized throughout the conference. Click here for more information.

Question: How do I submit a session proposal and what is the submission deadline?
Answer:

You can access proposal information by clicking here.

We will begin reviewing proposals on Monday, September 15th. Proposals will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis after September 15th until all the slots are filled. It is to your advantage to get proposals in early.


Question: What is the closest airport to the Sheraton Dallas?
Answer:

Dallas Love Field Airport and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are the two closest airports to the Sheraton Dallas. Please see the hotel's website for detailed information on travel options once you have landed: http://www.sheratondallashotel.com/dallas-transportation
