The National Urban Area Association, Inc. launches the 6th annual National Homeland Security Conference in Columbus May 22 - 24, 2012. Featuring educational tracks, subject matter expert panels, and presenting Key Note speakers from the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and Department of Defense. Lauded as the best Homeland Security conference of the Urban Areas, by the Urban Areas, this year’s agenda is expanded and enhanced with accredited CUL/CLE courses pre-conference on May 21st and Learning Labs post-conference on May 24th.
Pre-Conference Event:
Pre-conference MMRS Caucus is scheduled for Monday, May 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no additional charge for this pre-conference event. Please indicate during the on-line registration process if you plan to attend
Post-Conference Event:
Plan to extend your stay in Columbus because you won't want to miss the post-conference session offered Friday, May 25, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Members of The Ohio State University (OSU) Police Division, OSU Department of Public Safety, Columbus Fire Bomb Squad and Columbus Police will present a case study on Large Venue Security. Participants will hear from a panel of key personnel responsible for game day security and the creation of a nationally distributed video on Large Venue Security. After lunch, attendees will be transported to The Ohio State University for a walking tour of Ohio Stadium including relevant command posts, security surveillance systems, buffer zone barricade system, the Emergency Operations Center and Video Control Center. Attendance is limited to the first 75 registrants so please make sure to register through the on-line process. There is no additional cost for this post conference session.
