The NATO Alliance remains an essential source of stability in an unpredictable world where cooperation and partners’ contributions are essential to creating a secure environment.
NATO GEORGIA EXERCISE 2016 is one of the results of the decisions made at the Wales Summit 2014 and reemphasized at the Warsaw Summit 2016. It’s paving the way for a reform and development of capabilities for the Georgia Armed Forces.
This Exercise is the first multinational crisis response training conducted by the Georgian Armed Forces with NATO Nations and partners. The Brigade Level computer assisted exercise is part of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package.
The Exercise constitutes a great opportunity for NATO and Partner Nations to share skills and know-how with Georgian Defense Forces, who are already providing significant contribution to regional, and hence, the Alliance's collective security.
NATO is represented by Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Joint Force Training Centre Bydgoszcz and Land Command Izmir.
The Exercise is happening from the 10th of November (Opening Ceremony) to the 19th of November (Closing Ceremony and Farewell Reception). The location of the Exercise, with the exception of Opening and Closing Ceremony, is the NATO – Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC), located 15 miles from Tbilisi.
