New to networking? Or a seasoned pro that wants some new tips? This session, presented by Aimee Milligan, will enhance your networking skills by providing advice on how to network at an event, including how to prepare before you go; what to do when you get there; and, most importantly, what to do after the event is over.
The steps to successful networking will be broken down into manageable tasks that you can apply at your next event. And you'll discover the 5 things you should always have with you at an event. Plus, join in the discussion of the evolving role of social media in pre- and post-event activities and networking.
This event is eligible for 1.5 CPSM Credits.
Cancellations made by 12:00 a.m. three business days prior to the event will be fully refunded. Due to SMPS Philadelphia's commitment with meeting facilities for food and beverage quantities, all cancellations after that time and no-shows will be ineligible for a refund.
With more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience and a decade of developing those skills within the A/E/C industry, Aimee Milligan is excited to share her skills. At the urging of one of her mentors, she joined SMPS Philadelphia in 2002 in order to develop business for her employer. During her career, Aimee's professional responsibilities have ranged from project management and staff training, to marketing and client management. She is a two-time past president of SMPS Philadelphia and past chair of the National Striving for Excellence Awards Committee. Aimee has presented this topic for SMPS Philadelphia, AIA Philadelphia Women's Committee, Community College of Philadelphia and several A/E/C firms. She is currently an associate at AAA MidAtlantic.
