Beyond bulk resins such as PET, Polypropylene, PVC, and beyond bioplastics such as PLA and PHA, lies a nearly infinite expanse of specialty chemicals and additives. With smaller volumes and higher margins, these specialty niches are an appealing target for new biobased or green chemistry projects. Drop-in replacement strategies for existing chemicals, whether “of concern” or not, are one common approach. In other cases, new platforms are delivering novel intermediates or new chemicals that open up entirely new application possibilities. Next Generation Green Chemistry, a spinoff of Infocast’s annual Next Generation BioBased Chemicals Summit, offers a unique technical showcase for exciting new compounds and technology platforms. This Summit will consist of half-hour technical presentations from startups and university labs (CTO, CSO, Lead Researcher, P.I.) showcasing their innovative molecules, chemical ‘families’ and technology platforms. Presenters will focus primarily on property profiles and applications, conversion method or platform, and feedstock and manufacturing issues. (Company data will be limited to a single slide.) Presentations are not exclusive to biobased or green chemistry approaches.Agendas BrochureRegister by April 30 to be included in pre-printed badges, sign-in sheets and attendee lists.
