The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) are pleased to announce this year's program designed to help foster the next generation of infectious diseases physician scientists. This two-and-a-half-day meeting for U.S. ID fellows and medical students will feature keynote speaker Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, NIAID Director and will take place at the Bethesda Marriott and the campus of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD from June 6-8, 2019.  Travel costs will be provided for meeting participants.  Attendance at this meeting is limited to U.S. fellows, residents, and medical students who are also IDSA members in good standing. Non-members can join now by visiting https://www.idsociety.org/membership2/membership/

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from leading ID physician scientists about frontiers in medical research. There will be presentations and discussions on the practical aspects of developing a successful career in research, (e.g., funding, mentoring and publishing).
