NJ ISACA's 2021 Membership Meeting

Please join us virtually for our General Membership Meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for the State of the Chapter.  Our keynote speakers are Jon Bosco, Managing Partner, and Anthony D’Amato, Director, of eDelta Consulting and CPA Services, who will present "Post COVID Business Resumption”.


Topic Abstract:  The global pandemic has changed how we work, learn, and interact leading us to more of a virtual existence professionally. Business resumption and related testing strategies have previously centered on physical events (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, terrorist attacks, fires) impacting the availability of facilities and resident systems, and more recently, on cybersecurity events (e.g., compromise, phishing, ransomware, or denial of service) impacting the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of data. While many organizations have had pandemic plans incorporated within their business resumption strategy, scenarios to test and validate these plans have been limited until now. Overall organizations have done well adapting to this new world reality. Our session focuses on how organizations have been able to adapt, what strategies have been employed, and what the new normal looks like in a post-COVID world. Specifically, the agenda is broken out into two sections:

1. Strategies Employed by Successful Organizations:

  • Enabling Truly Virtual Operations.
  • Redesigning Physical Operations for Flexibility, Redundancy and Automation.
  • Thinking Holistically, Including About the Ecosystem (Supplier Risk Management).
  • Replacing the Meeting Room with Automation, Discovery, and Communication Tools.
  • Redefining and Redeploying Security Protocols.
  • Effectively Managing Employment, Personnel and Related Communication Risk.


2. Transitioning to the New Normal: 

  • Developing a New Post COVID Work Strategy
  • Maintaining Operational Processes and Controls during Transition to the New Normal.
  • Managing Cybersecurity Control Risks during Transition.
  • Building Organizational Resilience to the Unknown Impacts.
  • Group Audit Considerations – Review of Component Work papers and Travel Restrictions.
  • Financial Reporting Implications.

* Continuing Professional Education Credits are estimated and based on the Continuing Professional Education requirements of ISACA.  Actual CPEs (1 CPE credit for 50 minutes) are calculated based on actual instruction time and attendance.

In order to receive CPE credits, participants must respond to all pop-up questions during the Zoom meeting.  Failure to respond to questions may result in the attendee not being granted CPE credits.  Your name appearing in the Zoom meeting must be consistent with your name in the your Cvent registration.  Participants are responsible to configuring their Zoom application prior to the event.  Phone participants will not be entitled to CPE credits.
