Whether you're an EMT, medical student, resident, or practicing physician, this conference will provide engaging didactic lectures and interactive discussions that will allow the participant to grow their knowledge and practice of medicine in a wilderness or austere environment. Current and cutting-edge research on advanced topics in wilderness medicine will be discussed throughout the conference.
Physicians and other medical professionals who engage in wilderness activities, who counsel individuals who take part in such activities, or who are likely to encounter illness or injury in remote or resource-limited settings.
Academy of Wilderness Medicine: This conference offers FAWM core and elective credits. Actual credits awarded depend on personal credit needs and history.
Wilderness Medial Society Academy of Wilderness Medicine: Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM™) is designed for individuals who want to be acknowledged for their professional achievement in Wilderness Medicine and validate their training for their patients and clients.
