Oberlin College Conservatory Reunion & Celebration 2012
Conservatory Reunion & Celebration 2012:
Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17
The Oberlin Conservatory of Music has been both destination and point of departure for generations of talented young musicians and music lovers. As destination, it is a hub of expectation and exploration, an incubator of talent and intellect, and a nexus of family-like support within an entrepreneurial community. As point of departure, it is a portal to futures filled with promise, an archive of recollections
– populated by beloved professors, staff members, and classmates
– and a wellspring for what it means to be a complete musician and a complete human being. Oberlin is moment in time, map for the future, and memory.
For the first time in its 147-year history, Oberlin's Conservatory, in partnership with the Alumni Association, will host a reunion for alumni of the Conservatory
– conservatory and double degree graduates, students who enrolled in music courses, and all Oberlin alumni who simply love music are encouraged to attend. Although it is impossible to accurately render the particular era when you walked the corridors of Bibbins and Robertson
– or of old Warner Hall
– your own memories will take care of that.
Join your friends
– and friends yet to be made
– this summer, and discover a new destination: the Oberlin you knew, and the Oberlin you thought you knew. After traveling so many roads on your own journey, take the turn off Route 511 and renew your connections to the place where it all began.
