Securing & Auditing Your Network
Kim Jones, Director, Cybersecurity Education Consortium, Arizona State University

We have seen the definition of “network” – and particularly, its borders -- continue to evolve as technologies advance.  Adequately securing a network infrastructure in the face of cloud technologies and software-defined networks has become a more daunting endeavor.  In this session we will discuss how a principles-based approach to securing and auditing networks can simplify if not remove the perceived complexity of these tasks.

The Killer Next Door – Managing Third-Party Risk
James Christiansen, VP Information Risk Management, Optiv

The sheer volume and cost of onsite security risk assessments of third parties is daunting.  With the board and regulators pushing for results how can you extend your security practices to your third parties? This session details how to establish a third party IT risk management program using firsthand experience.  The speaker will discuss what works, what doesn’t, and how to change the paradigm.
