Industry Tour Information: October 7th 1:30 - 4:15pm


Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit attendees are invited to join us for a tour of the Port of New Orleans on October 7th from 1:30-4:15pm!
 

Participants will be treated to the following: 

  • Presentation about the soy and grain handled at the Port and an increasing emphasis on transloading bulk agricultural commodities into containers, as well as the challenges that rail car constraints are causing the ag transportation sector in the region

  • Tour of container and break bulk facilities

  • Walk-through of cold storage facility where poultry is flash frozen and loaded into containers or directly onto ships

Depart Hotel – 1:30 PM

Travel to Port of New Orleans – 1:30-1:45 PM

Presentation in PONO Auditorium and tour of Port of New Orleans – 1:45-4:00 PM

Returns to Hotel approximately 4:15 PM
