The Ontario Network for Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Services (ONCAIPS) invites you to celebrate 10 years and to join in conversations to help shape the future of intensive mental health care for children, youth, and families in Ontario. Through a combination of presentations and focused discussions and workshops, we will discuss how to optimize intensive services for children, youth, and families seeking help in Ontario today as well as best-practice methods for addressing complex addictions and mental health needs.
Day One brings together representatives from across the health and community care sectors to learn together and talk about ways to improve care pathways between organizations.
Day Two celebrates ONCAIPS’ 10-year anniversary, updates the ongoing development of standards for inpatient care, and highlights how to address substance use disorders on general inpatient units.
The 2016 conference in Toronto is hosted by the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health (PCMCH), Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO), Child and Youth Acute Care Collaborative (CAYACC), Center for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH), and the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
Who Should Attend: We invite all mental healthcare providers who work with children and youth in hospital based inpatient or community residential services to join us for this exciting event.
