Summary

This online offering makes our popular sold-out annual cardiovascular update program available to a larger audience for the second time!

We are excited to discuss the new JNC 8 guidelines for adult hypertension management, released December 2013!  We also incorporated the updated ACA & AHA 2013 recommendations, including Assessment of Cardiovascular Risk and Lifestyle Management to Reduce Cardiovascular Risk, into our presentations on up-to-date cardiovascular guidelines for nursing practice.

Are you using the most up-to-date clinical cardiovascular guidelines in your nursing practice? View the modules that are certain to provide nurses and nurse practitioners with critical updates in cardiology and the latest evidence-based practices for treating heart disease. You’ll leave with knowledge of applying recent changes in best practices and clinical guidelines to:
  • Hypertension management
  • Smoking cessation
  • Heart failure
  • Pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Heart-healthy dietary changes
  • New therapies for the cath lab

Learn about the latest JNC treatment guidelines for hypertension, evaluate case studies, and analyze how nurses and NPs can best make a difference in their own practices and communities by providing excellent care in inpatient and outpatient settings and with preventive, acute and chronic care.

Our line-up of speakers, who include experts from nursing, medicine and nutrition, have a wealth of hands-on experience caring for patients with cardiovascular disease, and exceptional teaching skills.
