Red, White and Blue: What color does your patient have?

  • Understand the medico-legal value of recording pertinent clinical findings as part of the conventional visual and tactile examination; construction of the differential diagnosis and the importance of patient follow-up in the diagnostic process
  • Review the clinical features of potentially malignant and cancerous lesions with emphasis on high-risk sites and physical characteristics
  • Review common and significant red, white and blue lesions of the oral cavity

Unraveling the Ghosts of Panoramic Radiographs
  • Understand the steps required to take a proper panoramic radiograph and be able to identify and correct errors
  • Review real and ghost formations
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and correct the errors with a case-based self-assessment
  • Understand normal panoramic anatomy
  • Diagnose common pathological lesions seen on panoramic images
  • Identify carotid artery calcifications and osteoporosis on a panoramic radiograph
