Women farmers often struggle with how to communicate with customers, service providers, employees, regulators, and even their farm, plants, and animals. This year's symposium will bring together speakers on the topics of soils, value-added products, marketing and communication.

Keynote speaker Lisa Kivirist, of Inn Serendipity B&B, will discuss the wealth of information she has learned from women farmers across the country while researching her latest book, "Soil Sisters: A Toolkit for Women Farmers." Lisa is also the Program Director for the Rural Women's Project of the Mid-West Organic & Sustainable Education Service and has organized their women farmer workshops, "Her in Her Boots." No one knows more than Lisa about networking, diversifying the farm dollar, and building support networks.

Vendor displays and books by the author will be available.
