Conference Objectives

The intent of this PAFCS-sponsored professional development opportunity is to provide family and consumer sciences professionals with information that will:

  • enhance content knowledge in family and consumer sciences-related areas and pedagogy;
  • increase skills using research on key elements of effective practice;
  • engage practitioners in content aimed at developing STEM skills and competencies in students using an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to learning
  • empower participants to work effectively with parents and community partners to establish connections between the school, work place, community and the global economy.
