The PALS course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.Prerequisites: Before taking PALS, students should have a mastery of infant and child BLS skills. They should also be able to interpret basic rhythms on electrocardiograms (ECGs), be familiar with different types of airway management tools and their use, and have knowledge of the drugs commonly used to treat cardiovascular irregularities. Books are included in course fee. If you have your own provider book, you will receive a discount by entering in discount code "Book2015" on the payment screen. The book version must be the current AHA 2015 guidelines. Multiple ("stacked") discount codes are not accepted.
