This two day, instructor-led classroom course provides instruction for healthcare providers using scenarios to simulate pediatric emergencies and practice hands-on skills. Group sessions and learning stations emphasize the importance of a systematic approach to the pediatric assessment, effective communication, and team dynamics. Course content includes: infant and child basic life support skills; cardiac, respiratory, and shock case studies; emergency respiratory management; rhythm disturbances; electrical therapy; vascular access; and related pharmacology.
