The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the association.
• Certification cards for PALS providers are valid for two years. It is the cardholder’s responsibility to contact a training center or institution to arrange for a renewal course and written exam.
• PALS provider and renewal courses are limited to the first 12 qualified pre-paid registrants.

PALS Instructors and Planners
As an ACCME/ADA CERP accredited sponsor the University of Mississippi Schools of Medicine and Dentistry strives to insure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific integrity in all its individually sponsored or jointly sponsored educational activities. Speakers and planners for activities are required to disclose any commercial relationships or personal benefit that may be associated with the presentations. REGISTRATION AND FEES
Registration deadline for all courses is two weeks prior to the first day of each course.
Registrations will not be accepted until the application is complete with all required prerequisites.
Complete applications will be processed in the order they are received.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refunds for cancellation may be given if written request is received two weeks prior to the course. A prepaid registrant who is unable to attend may send a substitute. The Division of Continuing Health Professional Education reserves the right to cancel the program if sufficient pre-registrations are not received. In case of cancellation, all registrants will be notified and registration fees will be refunded. The cost of the textbook will also be assessed if not returned or not returned in like new condition.

The AHA developed the PALS Provider Course for “currently active” healthcare providers (e.g., medical, nursing, emergency medical or allied health personnel) whose daily occupation or volunteer activities demand proficiency in the knowledge and skills of PALS. Others may be admitted into the course by discretion of the Course Director.
