Day 1 (April 18) A New Day for Penn State Extension….and YOU!
The world is changing, and so is Penn State Extension. All of your hard work over the past few years is coming to fruition. The new Penn State Extension website will launch soon, which is the tangible culmination and intersection of all of our efforts. It exemplifies a new era for Extension, and it changes everything – particularly our pertinence, programs and processes. These changes have uniquely positioned us as a modern Extension organization, and these changes have uniquely positioned YOU as a Penn State Extension educator. Whether faculty, educators, or staff, the conference will answer the looming questions – Why are we making these changes? What does a modern Extension educator look like? Where do I fit into our new Extension organization? How does my job change? This is a pivotal moment in time for Penn State Extension, and for you. Don’t miss it!

Day 2 (April 19) Organized by the Penn State Council on Agricultural Innovation (CAI-SELSI), the College of Agricultural Sciences and the College of Communications; sessions will focus on Communication Strategies for Extension Educators in a Polarized World.

Day 3 (April 20) Penn State Extension Unit Meetings
We will soon be launching into a phase of post-Atlas implementation — a phase in which “Atlas” becomes the new way of doing business. Changes in the business model and Atlas implementation will affect everyone’s roles and expectations. Assistant Directors of Program will meet individually with their Extension Units to help them understand the organization’s changes and expectations.

Ag IT is Conference Bound!
