- The Intentional Use of Music for Practitioner and Client -

This Sydney Philosophers Cafe event will be facilitated by Greg Lourey. Greg is a TLC Certified Consultant, Psychotherapist, Registered Music Therapist and Group Facilitator with combined 30 years in business, coaching and clinical practice.  This event provides an opportunity for TLC certified consultants and coaches to deepen their practice, and to connect and network with fellow TLC Community members.

This is a TLC Community only event.

It is commonly known that music is a powerful tool for dealing with emotions, bringing people together, for sacred ritual or just pure entertainment. However, how intentional are you in the way you use music? And if you don't use music, for yourself and in your work, why not?

In a 2-hour program Greg Lourey will:

1. Facilitate an experiential journey in the intentional use of music for you as practitioner
            and as coach/facilitator;
2. Discuss the research on music's impact on the brain and psychological well-being;
3. Explore playlists for your use as practitioner and for facilitation;
4. Explore your, and your clients, fears of using music and how to overcome them;
5. Use the combined wisdom of the group to explore the creative use of music for clients.

As TLC coaches and facilitators, we support clients through the creative tension that arises between current reality and an envisioned future. Using music as a medium engages the whole brain to open new neural pathways, ground us in the present moment, open us up to our creative potential and experience change with less stress and anxiety and more joy. These are the essential challenges in the shift from Reactive to Creative.

TLC practitioners will have the opportunity to learn new skills, techniques and processes they can use in their work with clients, and for themselves, and offer a point of difference in their coaching and workshop design.

The presentation will be highly experiential with a focus on interaction and application.

We hope you can join us for an evening of exploring, learning, deeper awareness and open relationships that arise when like minds come together.
