The incorporation of digital technologies into implant treatment of partial and completely edentulous patients is becoming the norm. This session will discuss the multiple areas through the planning, surgical, and restorative phases of implant therapy in which digital technologies may aid in the patient’s treatment. The presentation aims to create a chance to discuss the challenges and debated issues related to digital implant dentistry in today’s practice.The interdisciplinary panel includes faculty from the Divisions of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry, Periodontics, and Oral Surgery. More details

Pain and Anxiety Management

As more patients become familiar with and inquire about sedation in the dental office, it is important that providers understand the risks and benefits of providing this valuable service. Proper training, proper equipment and proper patient selection are required to ensure a safe and predictable outcome.

The second half of this presentation will cover the proper use of opioid analgesics - understanding how they work, what patients are likely to need, and the regulatory environment that surrounds those scientific and clinical factors. More details

Due to the rescheduling of the American Dental Association's (ADA) fall meeting, the 2019 Ohio Dental Association's (ODA) Annual Session was moved to the first weekend of October, which happens to fall during OSU's Homecoming Weekend.  We are happy to announce that the 2019 Post College Assembly (PCA) Homecoming CE will be held in cooperation with the ODA Annual Session at the Downtown Hilton on Friday, October 4th.

The schedule has been arranged so that attendees can attend a half-day or full-day of PCA along with the other ODA CE courses.  (Registration for ODA CE courses and activities must be done through the ODA.)
