A series of workshops for professionals caring for older adultsDesigned to improve the quality of life of older adults,especially those who are the “older old” and have dementia and/or multiple health conditionsDesigned for professional direct care workers and direct care supervisors providing in-home, community-based or in-facility careDesigned and taught by advanced practice health care professionals with geriatric certification and real-world experience: Tracy Kuras, DNP, APRN, GCNS-BC, CHPN; Sara McCumber, DNP, RN, CNP, CNS; Mary Lou Donovan, PhD, MEd, OTR/LAll workshops will address cognitive impairments and all will integrate palliative care and complementary/alternative therapies where appropriateMonthly 3-hour workshops starting January 2017 - 4th Tuesday of the month from 8:15-11:30 at Essentia - St. Mary’s in Superior. Each workshop is 3 contact hours (.3 CEUs). Attend all seven workshops and earn a Certificate in Elder Care: Preserving Dignity and Purpose in Late Life.
