Propylene & Polypropylene Industry Training Class

After years of evaluation, Alberta is now moving forward to convert propane into plastic. In late-December, Inter Pipeline announced their final investment decision to proceed with a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) unit to convert approximately 22,000 bpd of propane feedstock into 525,000 tpy of polypropylene plastic. Other similar projects are under evaluation, and more are likely to move forward to forever change the dynamics of the propane markets in Alberta.

In the near future, Alberta’s propane producers will now have significant exposure to the propylene and polypropylene markets. PCI Wood Mackenzie’s 1-day training seminar will provide a comprehensive understanding of the propylene and polypropylene industry, including interactive analyses of chemistries, technologies, demand, pricing, economics and key stakeholders. Attendees will leave the seminar with a thorough understanding of the propylene/polypropylene industry, an economic model of a PDH/PP conversion unit, as well as a chance to network with peers in this sector.
