Have you wondered how you will get your project through the REB? This workshop aims to clarify what projects require ethics review; and how the core principles of the TCPS-2 (Concern for Welfare, Respect for Persons, and Justice) are interpreted. This session is highly interactive. Bring your REB application, completed or not, and we will discuss how each of these principles is evaluated within the application. By the end of the session you will have identified potential risk, and potential mitigation strategies for your research project in each of these areas.
Presenter(s): Dr. Cheryl Pollard, Member Research Ethics Board and Assistant Professor, BSc Nursing; Sherine Spence, Research Ethics Coordinator; and Lainna El Jabi, Research Facilitator
