Exploring the Intersection Between Investigations, e-Disclosure, and Surveillance
    Speakers:
Jordan Domash, General Manager of Relativity Trace, Relativity
    Terry Bock, Managing Director, Deloitte
    Alex Comyn, Director, Deloitte
Wendy King, Senior Managing Director, FTI
Brian Stuart, Senior Managing Director, FTI

Relativity grew up solving reactive problems in e-disclosure and investigations. In solving that problem, we as a community figured out how to take massive amounts of unstructured data and sift through it quickly to find what’s most relevant. In this session, we’ll discuss how the same technology and your expertise can be applied to proactive problems like compliance monitoring and surveillance.

    How Entities Drive Better Workflows
Speaker: Darshan Karia, Relativity Solutions Specialist, Relativity

There's no single identity in the digital world. Most people have multiple email addresses—both personal and professional—and those email addresses can show up in different formats throughout your project. In this session, we’ll show you how name normalisation automatically condenses all those aliases into a single entity, so you can easily find and connect people in your case. You’ll also see how communication analysis comes into play, helping you understand, at a glance, who's communicating with whom and about what.

Join us for this interactive session, where legal and technical experts will opine on best practices for mobile data in litigation and investigations while getting your input on how mobile discovery should be conducted.

    Active Learning Workflow Deep Dive
Speaker: Clare Longworth Senior Relativity Solutions Specialist, Relativity

Active learning has been available for over a year now, and adoption and usage have been going strong. Administrators appreciate the ease of setup, and review teams have been excited about the time and cost savings.

However, with increased usage naturally comes more questions, and a greater need to ensure that the review team is using active learning effectively. In this session, we'll explore active learning workflows in depth. We'll cover managing review of family groups when using the prioritised review queue, transitioning to second pass review, scenarios for the coverage review queue, leveraging active learning for quality control, and project validation using elusion testing. You'll also learn how active learning can enhance proactive regulatory compliance monitoring in Relativity Trace.

Whether your role focuses on setup, project management, or review, you will walk away with ideas to consider for your next (or current) case.

Whose Data Is It Anyway? Data Privacy and Data Subject Access Requests

Mark Anderson, Senior Project Consultant, CDS
    Jonathan Armstrong, Partner, Cordery
Chris Dale, Founder, eDisclosure Information Project
Meagan Sauve, eDisclosure Consultant, Special Counsel

Article 15 of the GDPR famously—or infamously, depending on one’s perspective—provides for right of access for data subjects seeking information from data controllers about their personal data being processed. The potential cost to organisations is not insignificant, and it’s not just the GDPR. The UK Information Commissioner’s Office considers data subject access requests under UK law, and jurisdictions across the globe are creating more restrictions on—or protections for—the processing of personal data. Join us for this session where we examine the inherent tension between corporate data processing and expanding data privacy and access rights.
