The Friends Association for Higher Education and the Friends Council on Education are accepting proposals for presentations for their 2014 conference, at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, June 12-15. We invite you to join with educators from Friends schools (pre-K through 12), colleges, universities and study centers globally. The conference seeks to deepen our practice and sharpen our skills as we seek to live with integrity and balance in all our relationships:
-Topics must address the conference theme and one or more of the queries. -Proposals may be intended for an audience of pre-K through 12 educators, college and adult educators, or both. -Proposal synopsis may be up to 2,000 characters in length. -Proposals will be accepted until January 31, 2014 -Proposals must be submitted on-line via this RFP. -Presentations may be for a full session of 75 or 90 minutes (including Q&A follow-up if desired), a half session of 30-45 minutes, or a 15 minute presentation within a multi-topic session. Presentations on common themes may be scheduled together, either by the presenter or the conference organizers, to create integrated sessions on similar topics. -Presenters will be notified of acceptance in February, 2014. -Presenters will register for and attend the conference.
