 RESRAD-ONSITE, RESRAD-OFFSITE, and RESRAD-BUILD (September 17-21)

This training workshop provides technical personnel and managers with an overview, history, calculation methodology, input parameter requirements, and application of the RESRAD Family of Codes, including RESRAD-ONSITE, RESRAD-OFFSITE, and RESRAD-BUILD analysis. Both deterministic and probabilistic dose analysis techniques and special features such as sensitivity analysis as well as code verification and validation will be discussed. Interactive computer demonstrations will guide the participants through data input and output steps. Instructor support will help the students complete the hands-on problem-solving sessions throughout the workshop. Training materials include presentation handouts, a user's manual, a bench marking report, and a problem workbook. After successful completion of the training course, participants will receive training certificates from Argonne.

Advanced RESRAD-ONSITE & RESRAD-OFFSITE, RESRAD-BIOTA, and RESRAD-RDD (September 24-28)

This training course will start with two days of training on the advanced application of the RESRAD-ONSITE and RESRAD-OFFSITE codes. Advanced features and topics will be presented and discussed. It is highly recommended that attendees take the regular RESRAD-ONSITE and RESRAD-OFFSITE training course before taking this advanced course. For the remaining three days, two RESRAD family of codes will be taught. The first one, RESRAD-BIOTA, deals with evaluation of radiological dose to animals and plants. The second one is the RESRAD-RDD code, which is designed for emergency response to nuclear incidents. Both deterministic and probabilistic dose analysis techniques and special features such as sensitivity analysis as well as code verification and validation will be discussed.
