This event has been closed. Please join the wait list by clicking the Register button above.

This multidisciplinary team (MDT) training spans two (2) days and is specifically designed for staff members of a children's advocacy center who have direct involvement in the coordination of MDT relationships and communication as well as facilitation of the MDT Case Review meetings.

Participants will revisit the intent and purpose of the MDT Case Review process; assess their current MDT Case Review practices and procedures; explore innovative new approaches and practices intended to improve participation, efficiencies, and effectiveness of the MDT Case Review component; and gain an understanding of and implement strategies for including key MDT representatives in the process of evolving the Case Review component. The curriculum focuses on the all-important MDT Case Review meeting component of the CAC model, as CACs have stepped up their efforts to strengthen their MDTs and ensure their collaborative work is as effective as possible.

Format: This interactive program includes lecture and discussion, small group breakout activities, and role play opportunities for practice and feedback.

*Offering quality, professional training in a classroom environment is a key priority for our organization. We feel this format is the most conducive to effective learning as it allows for small group activities, one-on-one coaching, and ample opportunity for Q&A. However, given the inherent size of classroom training, we have to carefully manage the registration process. Our goal is to ensure that participants have timely access to the training offerings they are in need of in order to do their important jobs effectively. In reviewing registrations, our process is to assess both the registrant CAC’s needs as well as the registrant’s completion of course prerequisites.
