Rita Kobb Nursing Informatics Symposium

The Rita Kobb Nursing Informatics Symposium is a bi-yearly lectureship series that explores topics in nursing informatics. This series was created by a gift made in honor of Rita Kobb, a UF nursing alumna and nursing informatics expert.

This year’s symposium, presented by UF Health and UF Health Jax on February 14-15, 2019, is titled: “Looking Back at the Past Decade of Nursing and Health Informatics: Advances and Opportunities.”

We invite abstracts in research, project, or theoretical/conceptual format to be considered for poster presentation at the conference. Please visit kobbsymposium.nursing.ufl.edu for information on abstract submissions and more.

Online registration opens August 8th, 2018 and will close February 1st, 2019 at 3:00PM. Registration is free to the public, though space is limited.

Please note that onsite registration at the Reitz Union (686 Museum Rd, Gainesville, FL 32611) will open at 8:15A on the first day of the event. We will offer a light continental breakfast. The scheduled program will begin at 9:00A. On the second day of the event, registration will open at 9:00A and the program will begin at 9:45A.


This continuing nursing education activity was approved by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Attendees participating in Day 1 activities will earn 5 Contact Hours upon completion of an evaluation tool. Symposium attendees on Day 2 will earn 3.25 Contact Hours upon completion of an evaluation tool. Attendees must sign in at the Continuing Education station at the start of each day of the symposium and turn in a completed evaluation tool at the end of each day.
