RTC Global Executive Committee

Wesley Benn, RTC Events Management / University of NSW
Executive Chairman, Global
Region Chairman, Europe / Asia

A Sydney-based architect, Wesley is the founder of RTC Events Management and the Revit Technology Conference series. As a longterm user and advocate of BIM, Wesley has been speaking and teaching in the field since starting to play with a pre-release version of Revit.

Wesley has worked directly with Autodesk on Revit development and implementation, built content for manufacturers and end-users, and has implemented multiple BIM tools into well over 300 practices throughout South-East Asia. He is a regular speaker at events throughout Australia and overseas talking about technology, Integrated Practice, and facilities management; he founded (and chaired for 5 years) the Revit User Group, Sydney; and teaches design, BIM, and architectural technologies at the University of New South Wales, in Sydney, Australia.

Chris Needham, AECOM
Region Chairman, Australasia

Chris has joined AECOM as a Project Information Manager and BIM Lead, working as part of their BIM Advisory business. He works closely with clients to leverage BIM for their advantage, during design, construction and operational phases of their facilities. He's also becoming keenly acquainted with the application of BIM principles to large-scale infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining AECOM, he was the owner of C3 Consulting Solutions, implementing BIM processes and practices within AEC companies since 2005. He has assisted firms in organizational change efforts, systems analysis and design, training programmes and project delivery. Chris's strengths are in converting technical experience to tactical approaches, and communication.

He has worked on projects in both Australia and the United Kingdom, using his expertise to develop systems and processes for numerous organisations. Over the last nine years, he has helped firms understand and implement BIM methodologies, and is passionate about exploiting information management technology to its limits. He acknowledges that despite developments in technology, altering people's behaviour is the most crucial and often difficult part of change.

Chris has taught hundreds of industry professionals across Australia, and students at both RMIT and Melbourne University. He is a co-author of ANZRS (Australian & New Zealand Revit Standards), steering committee member of BIM-MEPAUS, served as BIM Management Plans working group chair for the AIA/Consult Australia BIM/IPD initiative and as past chairperson of REVIC (Revit Users Group of Victoria).

Dezi is a regular speaker at many conferences, she co-founded the Rocky Mountain Building Information Society, is the Chair of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado's BIM Committee, and is currently serving as an AUGI board member and Vice President.
