The annual Rutgers University Alfredo Santiago Endowed Scholarship Gala acknowledges community leaders who support the mission of LEAP (Leadership, Education, and Partnership) Academy University Charter School, and celebrates its outstanding students. LEAP is a K-12 public charter school that serves Camden, NJ, and has become a national model for urban education. LEAP’s graduation rate of 100% is a major feat in a city where only half its residents graduate high school.

Created in 1999, the Alfredo Santiago Scholarship provides grants to LEAP graduates. With the consistent support of our community, the scholarship endowment has reached $2 million! We have awarded over $550,000 in scholarships to 120 alumni. With more LEAP students aspiring to attend college, the need for growth is now more critical than ever. This year, we are proud to honor the following individuals for their leadership and commitment to education in our region:

Robert E. Curley, III
South Jersey Market President
TD Bank

Joseph Dominguez
Executive Vice President for Governmental and Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy
Exelon Corporation

Angela Snyder
Chairwoman & Chief Executive Officer
Fulton Bank of New Jersey

Atrium at Curtis Center
601 Walnut St
Philadelphia, PA
