Understanding Regulations (PM Session, 5 CEUs)
Understanding laws and regulations is not only required for Administrator recertification, it’s also key to successful and deficiency free operations. In addition to meeting the Law and Regulations Core of Knowledge, this class helps students understand some of the most common citations, and how and when to appeal these citations. Get a deep dive into key issues and concerns in senior living operations today.

Opportunities to role play the role of providers and LPAs in an inspection process.
Advice from attorney Joel Goldman on frequently cited Type A violations; how to respond and how and when to appeal.

Topic B: Leadership Steps to Success (Day 2)

Creating an Employee Dream Team (AM Session, 5 CEUs)

Course Information

  • Continuing education approved for RCFE, ARF, NHA, RN, and LVN
  • Administrators may take up to 20 hours of the required 40 hours of continuing education online
  • RCFE Administrators are required to take at least 8 hours of continuing education on topics related to dementia as part of their 40 hours of continuing education. Dementia topics are included in Topic D of our live courses and are also available as online courses.

Cancellations: Course registrations fees are nonrefundable, however you have up to 24 hours following a purchase to cancel the purchase without penalty and receive a full refund after purchase. Purchase cancellation and refund requests must be made by contacting livetraininghelp@oncourselearning.com within 24 hours of purchase and will be processed as a refund back on the original card. 

 

Course Transfers from one registered person or course date to another: Upon written request to livetraininghelp@oncourselearning.com we will gladly transfer registration fees to another course or individual for a $25 transfer fee with at least 48 hours advance notice of the 1st day of class, after which no changes, class transfers, or credits will be allowed. Transfers must take place within a calendar year. No refunds will be given. Unless otherwise noted, all courses begin at 8:00 am. Transfers are limited to one transfer per original registration.

 

Late arrival: Attendees who arrive at class more than 10 minutes late may lose their seat to take the class and a refund will not be given. Courses are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. To maintain compliance with state regulations, attendees who arrive more than 10 minutes late will not receive CEU credit for the class.Making up program hours and content may occur during scheduled free time of the program at the sole discretion of the instructor. Persons registered for an Initial Certification class may schedule a make-up day for $25 per day missed as long as Care and Compliance is notified within 48 hours from the last day of class. Persons registered for a Recertification class must register for another date at full price.
