The 25th Annual Shirley R. Wagner Garden Symposium will feature sessions presented by locally and nationally renowned garden experts that will inspire participants to improve their home gardens.

Symposium Highlights

  • Passionate perennialist and garden writer Kerry Ann Mendez will offer solutions for time-pressed or maturing gardeners wishing to simplify their lives.
  • Local garden expert George Weigel will share ideas for edible plants in the landscape, in addition to the cautionary tale, Things I Wish Somebody Would’ve Told Me before I Ruined the Landscape.
  • Karl Gercens III, formerly of Longwood Gardens, will present Plants that Inspire
  • Penn State horticulturalist Connie Schmotzer will provide a roadmap for “going native” in your own backyard.

  

Vendors and a wealth of door prizes selected especially for plant lovers will round out the day.
